Wesley Harrison Younger Jr. of Loranger, LA, passed to eternal life on Monday, January 10, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on June 20, 1949, to the late Wesley H. Younger and Iva Jean Pope Younger Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Eva Holland Younger. Wesley was the loving father of four children: Wesley H. Younger, III, Joy E. Scott (Jonathan), Lance A. Younger (Erika), and Hope D. Riccobono (Vincent). He was best known as "Paw Paw" to his ten grandchildren: Wesley IV, Ragan, Skyler, Bentley, Josiah, Joshua, Ophelia, Noah, Audrey, and Vinny, whom he loved spending time with. He is also survived by his siblings: Priscilla Y. Carbo, Cynthia Y. Gendron, Philip R. Younger, and Rebecca Y. Becnel as well as many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Wesley is predeceased by his grandchild, Joseph A. Scott.
A fun-loving, outgoing husband and father, Wesley, while born in Texas, has been a resident of Louisiana most of his life. He held a degree in Agribusiness from Southeastern Louisiana University and loved the outdoors. Wesley was a lifetime boilermaker welder and always had a story to tell about co-workers and friends on the jobsite. "Paw Paw" loved tinkering with projects, and often found himself finding a way to repair almost anything. He loved his family dearly and spending time with neighbors and friends. He also enjoyed swinging on the front porch while telling funny stories and drinking tea. He will be missed by countless people and loved eternally.
